Background

The Hong Kong-Guangzhou Technology and Innovation Partnership Programme is designed to support the cooperation in research and technology development between Guangzhou-based enterprises and Hong Kong-based universities and research institutions. It offers new opportunities and channels for Hong Kong-based scholars and researchers to commercialize their research outputs and/or set up technology enterprises. With the financial support from the Guangzhou Municipal Government, HKAORS desires to facilitate more cross-boundary collaboration in research and technology development. The programme helps business partners from the Mainland to develop the partnership with Hong Kong-based scholars and researchers and to invest in the research and innovation projects of the scholars. The programme also intends to create new opportunities for Hong Kong’s young generation to start their own business.
